How To Set Up a Custom Domain in Blogger

One of the best things about Blogger is that you don't have to host your site on Blogger. You can choose between two hosting plans: host your BlogSpot at myblog.blogspot.com or your own domain at myblog.com.
Well, it's time to start adding a custom domain to your blogger account
Step 2: Click on your blog, then go to Settings, and select General.
Step 3: In the "Post" section, click on "+ Set up a third-party URL for your blog".
Step 4: In the Third Party Domain Settings section, next to "http://", enter the domain you purchased and make sure you don't forget to add the "www" prefix to the domain name.
Step 5: Click on View Installation Instructions to get the official Blogger instructions. Select the "Top Level Domain (www.example.com)" option on the Blogger Guidelines page.
Step 6. Step 9 of the instructions will give you 4 IP addresses, copy 4 of them and save them.
Step 7: Go back to blogger settings and click save. It will not be saved and an error message will appear: "We were unable to verify your credentials for this domain. Error 32".
Step 8: Below the error message, you will see two fields: “Name, Label, or Host field” and a “Destination, Target, or Point” field. Copy the data from both rows of these fields.
Step 9: Now login to your GoDaddy.com account and click on My Account in the top right corner > Select Manage my domains.
Step 10. Here you will see the purchased domain name > just click on your domain name.
Step 11 Click the DNS Zone File tab next to Settings and select Use Classic DNS Manager.
Step 12. Then click the Edit button to edit the DNS zone file.
Step 13: In the CNAME menu, click the "Quick Add" button at the bottom of the screen (see Figure 1 in the screenshot below).
Step 14. In the edit window that appears, type “www” in the first field and “ghs.google.com” in the second field.
Step 15: Click Quick Add again and enter the data from the second row of data we saved in Step 8.
Step 16. From the "A (Host)" menu, select "Quick Add" again (see image below).
Step 17: The host will be @ and the reference to the value should be the value given by the Google IP address saved in step 6 above. Here is the Google IP address you need to get:
Step 19. Click the "Save Zone File" button at the top of the page to save your settings.
Step 20 Now go back to Blogger and try to save the settings again. The registration process takes 24-48 hours, so don't worry if the error appears again. After 24-48 hours of blogger login, repeat steps 2 to 4, click save and the error will be gone.
Step 21: Once you have your URL set up and running, click the Edit link next to your domain name on the Settings page.
Step 22: Check the "Redirect...to..." box below your site address so that visitors can still access your site even if they skip the www part.
Step 23 That's it. Enjoy your new URL!

Here we use settings from GoDaddy.com , the most popular domain name provider. For custom domains from other sites, the steps are almost the same, so don't get lostSet up a custom blogger domain
