Share Blogger Post Automatically to Facebook using IFTTT
Auto-publishing a blog post on Facebook used to be a challenge. The idea was simple: tell Facebook you have a blog you want to post on your wall, and the social network will do as instructed. However, implementation was more difficult.
Even with Facebook's email feature, only the blog name and title appear on the wall, leaving the content or link behind. There are other plugins, but they don't work as easily as they should. There is always something missing.
Now IFTTT will guide you through a mini-tutorial: press "this", the word "this" several times, and the "Continue" button. Finally, select the 3 channels you are interested in and click "Next" to register.
First, click on the "My Recipes" link, then click on the "Create Recipe" button as shown below:
Start building the recipe by clicking on the blue word "this" and selecting a "Trigger Channel". The launcher you need to select is Blogger; search the box as shown below:
When our Blogger blog is online, you can use "Select a trigger" to specify the type of post published on Facebook. You can select "All new messages" or "New starred messages".
Finally, click the blue "Create Trigger" button to go to the next step.
To configure the 'tie', click on the blue 'tie'. A window will open with a list of social networking sites. Look for the "Facebook" box and select the "Facebook Pages" option (select the simple "Facebook" option if you want to post to your personal profile).
Click Done and Go to Next Step and we're almost done…
You will be asked to select an action, where you can indicate whether you only want 'Create status message', 'Create link message' or 'Update photos from URL'. Select "Create Post Link" as shown below:
If you're not sure what each ingredient does, visit this page .
To complete your recipe, click the "Create Recipe" button.
And this is all! This is how IFTTT recipes are created. The next time you publish a post on Blogger, it will automatically be shared on Facebook.
